I heard about Google’s Gmail yesterday and thought it was an April Fool’s joke. Apparently it’s not. You can go and take a look at the site at gmail.com. Once it’s awailable, I’ll be the first to sign up! Google is really getting in for the big showdown with Yahoo! and MSN. I like the features that Gmail has to offer. Most of all, I like the 1 Gig storage space. Don’t you hate it when you go on vacation for a couple of days and come back to find your Yahoo! mailbox completely filled? With Gmail, you won’t have that problem (at least not for quite a while).

I definitely like the search option and contextual email where all your emails are can be grouped by thread. There’s no set release date as of today.

C’mon Google… stop teasing us and release Gmail soon!

    I came across this news article about this guy in Mexico who created an application where you can check off the "star" entries in Gmail and have them automatically converted to entries in your blog. I'm not sure what the advantage of this is - maybe there's something I'm missing.
