How to Have Your Ads Shown ONLY on Google

I just read this in a forum a couple of days ago. If you want your ads shown only in the Google search engine and not on the other search engines that syndicate Google Adwords, just go into the campaign settings and uncheck “search network”.

By doing this you can find out what your CTR is only in the Google search engine. A lot of people ask why their campaigns get slowed or keywords get disabled even when their CTR is above 0.5%. That happens when you have an overall CTR that is over 0.5% (Google + syndicated partners) BUT less than 0.5% for ads shown only on the Google search engine. Only click-throughs on Google are taken into account when determining whether your campaign gets slowed.

So if you uncheck the “search network” option and run the ads for some time, it should tell you how you’re doing just on Google alone.
