I’ve been promoting Ken Hammond’s Learn How to Play Free Golf ebook using Google AdWords for some time. So far I’ve sold 4 copies and had 2 refunds. I’m not a golfer myself and I haven’t read the book yet. But if half the people who bought the book returned it, then there must be something wrong with it. Maybe the it doesn’t deliver on the promises claimed on the salescopy.

I haven’t used a lot of keywords (around 40) with this campaign and it’s pulling in 10-15 clicks per day and averaging 8 cents per click. I’ve used a lot of negative keywords for the phrase involving “free golf” since a lot of people are searching for “free online golf games” or “free golf screensavers”. So I used “-free” and “-screensavers” among others.

Another campaign headed for the dumpster. Live and learn.
