“A federal judge ruled Wednesday that Google’s policy to allow ads to be triggered by trademarked keywords is legal and can continue.”
Google won against GEICO. What it means for marketers who use PPC - you can continue to bid on trademarked terms such as GEICO. But you still can’t include the term in your actual ad copy.
This is a very important ruling. In my own experience with Adwords, bidding for trademarked terms can really get some pretty targeted traffic. Read that last sentence again. It IS important.
