Seriously, my wife and I have been supporters of World Vision, a Christian relief and development organization that is dedicated to helping children and their communities worldwide reach their full potential by tackling the causes of poverty.

Every year, World Vision puts out a gift catalog for Christmas where you can donate to different projects they have all around the world. This year we decided to donate a camel which is oftentimes crucial for desert survival. The catalog has an interesting way of describing this animal - “… reliable, hardworking… Think of a camel as a refrigerator and an SUV with a 40-year life span!”

We also chose to give a bull to benefit an entire community and a water filtration machine for communities without an ample supply of clean drinking water.

We have also been sponsoring 3 children for quite some time. One lives in Rwanda, another in Malawi and the last one in Brazil.

At this time of the year when we focus on giving to our friends and families, remember to count your blessings and give also to those who need help the most.
