Clickbank (CB) now provides more information for affiliates who are promoting CB products.

The products used to be ranked by the total sales made. But now, affiliates can also view for each product:

1. The average net amount earned per affiliate per referred sale. This means that the number has been corrected for refunds, sales taxes and chargebacks. If the number is lower than what you calculate the commissions to be at the stated commission rate minus CB fees, then it’s likely there is a large number of refunds.

2. The average percentage per referred sale. This number should be the same as the one in the [] at the end of the product link. If the vendor changes the commission rate over time, then the average percentage would differ from the one displayed in the []. For example, if the product commission starts at 50% and is later switched to 70%, the average commission percentage becomes 60%.

3. Percentage of vendors products sold be affiliates. If this number is high, that means that affiliates are selling the products very well.

4. Weighted number of affiliates. Using data from the last 8 weeks, the number of distinct affiliates is estimated based on an unknwon weighting formula. According to the CB ranking info page, the more recently an affiliate has made a sale, the higher the weighting factor would be. The weighting factor is between 0.1 to 1.0.
