It’s SPAM - that’s what. Some clown posted a link (disguised as a comment) to one of my posts. It’s a link to his tool for ‘automated’ blog and ping. (Note to readers: please post only relevant comments or they’ll be deleted.)

And there are others out there. I’ve come across too many so called ‘blogs’ that are nothing but pure spam to try to get the search engines to pick them up and rank them based on their keywords.

But if you see one of these ‘blogs’ you’ll recognize them immediately. It’s filled with nothing but repeated paragraphs of meaningless keywords. All the posts are the same except for the title. It’s pure spam and I foresee a major crackdown on these types of ‘blogs’ soon.

Don’t get me wrong. There’s nothing wrong with pinging your blog. If you make a post, then by all means ping to get your listing updated. But only if you have a real blog. These automated blog and ping folks are doing a disservice to those of us with actual blogs with useful content.
