I just received my copy of Instant Keyword Research two days ago and I have just been playing with it today. This is an especially useful tool for anyone who is an AdWords advertiser, AdSense publisher or any PPC user, for that matter. It saves a lot of research time (as the name implies) because you can generate huge lists of keywords in a short amount of time.

So far, I only have complaints about the user interface. The lists of keywords are saved as Excel files. Nothing wrong with that. But everytime I want to save a file, it always defaults to the directory where the program is located. I haven’t found a way to specify my own default directory. I would also like to see more features such as filtering out certain words, merging multiple lists, etc.

However, the main functionality of the program which is to provide large lists of keywords based on a term or phrase you enter, works well. I was able to expand my current AdWords campaigns’ keyword lists quickly. I also got some new keyword ideas from the list of related keywords associated with my main keyword.

As you can see, IKR is a physical product that you will get in the mail after you order it. It contains two CDs. One has the main program and the other has the bonus products.
