Technorati has a new feature called Blog Finder that lets you search for blog topics. If you’re a blogger, you should open a free account and list your blog there. Here’s one good reason to do that. The home page of Technorati has PR8. Granted most of the blog finder results pages don’t have PR yet but I expect them to get decent PR soon given the popularity of Technorati.

Once you register and open an account, you can list your blog. It’s easy. You just have to add a line of code in your blog template and then ping Technorati to let them know where to find your blog. Within less than 5 minutes, my blog was listed. The other cool feature is that you can “tag” your blog according to your main keywords. Let’s say your blog is about creative writing. Some tags you can use are: writing, creative writing, story writing, writers, etc. These are terms that you expect people to search for and find your blog.

I’ve listed two of my blogs (this one and Money Making Blogs) there and I’ll have to monitor my logs and see how much traffic I get from the listings. One thing though - I haven’t figured out why I cannot upload my picture to my profile.
