What is the best way to find out what certain words pay out? I’m in the middle of creating a niche site with supposedly a very high payout but I got that from some report. Any suggestions?

Be very wary of buying keyword reports. That’s because most of the so-called high paying keywords are actually extremely competitive. How will you get traffic to your site?

Do lots of keyword research. You can get an idea of the “market value” of keywords by using the Overture bidtool. That will not give you the bids on AdWords but there is a longer more roundabout way of finding out AdWords bids. The AdWords system actually shows you the estimated top bid when you are setting up a new campaign. When you do that, you’ll want to enter just one or two main keywords to find out the top bids. With the traffic estimator tool, you’ll also get an idea of how much actual traffic you’re going to get based on what you willing to pay for clicks.

If you prefer an easier way, keyword mining software
will show you top bids on Google and Overture based on the keywords that you enter.
