Google has just launched Blog Search. I just tried it out by searching for my last post here. Searching for my last post on Yahoo Publisher Network shows that my post was indexed 10 hours ago. It looks like the most important thing to pay attention is your post title, blog title and blog description if you want the search for a phrase to bring up your blog as the top result.

When you search for a keyword or phrase, it also shows you related blogs above the search results. For example, entering the phrase internet marketing brings up the following related blogs:

Lockergnome has PR4 and “internet marketing” in its title and description. Marketing Tom has PR6. KnowThis has PR7 and Internet Marketing Blog has PR4. Gandke looks like it’s in German and has PR4. But notice that all of them contain the term “internet marketing” somewhere in the title and description with the exception of KnowThis which only contains the term “marketing”.
