Secret To Get On The First Page Of Google
I read a few posts in the blogosphere about people complaining that after the Chitika earnings audit yesterday, their actual earnings were much lower than the unaudited earnings. I saw a reduction of 26.3% myself. That’s terrible. It means that 25 cents out of every dollar was from an invalid click.
It is said that clicks from certain countries are not included. So it may be due to the fact that I have a significant portion of traffic from countries that were excluded. Time to rethink my strategy for those sites with Chitika - whether I should still keep those ads on the pages.
Anyone else care to share their results?

Chitika January Earnings Posted
Check your stats, Chitika audited earnings have been posted for January 2006. I'm still not seeing good numbers here. My earnings dropped 20% after audit and the CTR and CPM are horrible to begin with. I'm seriously considering dropping Chitika altogether.

1Chitika Publishers Furious Over Revenue Audit That Has Taken Up To 90% Of Their Revenue
Chitika implemented a revenue audit to invalidate clicks it calls “curiosity clicks” that I mentioned here on Nov 17,2005. Unfortunately for some publishers — and most it seems — upon checking their month ending stats some have seen upwards of…

2Hi Hock,
I just calculated mine.
I have reduction of 22.4%.
Not as bad as yours, but I feel like getting double taxed already.

3Hi Bo,
Thanks for sharing your results. I’m going to try out the “Alternate URL” feature to filter out some of the clicks from unqualified countries. I’ll let you know how it goes.
