I’ve been having problems with XSitePro this weekend. The last time I used it was a couple of days ago and everything worked fine. Then last night when I tried to start it up, it me an error. The file pinEdit.html causes an Internet Explorer script error. I thought the latest Microsoft updates might solve the problem but no luck there. I even tried uninstalling and reinstalling the program twice. Even with the latest version which is 1.54a, I still couldn’t get it to work.
The symptom I see is that when you go into the design tab, the screen area where the page preview normally shows up is blank. Upon some investigation, I found out that pinEdit is a program that gives you a WYSIWYG type interface which can be integrated into an application and that’s what XSitePro uses.
I’ve posted a question at the XSitePro forum but only one person replied mentioning a similar problem he had which was solved by tech support. I also submitted a support ticket but it looks like no one will be responding until Monday.
And I was planning to do some site maintenance this weekend…. Anyone else know of a solution to this problem?
Note: (02/24/06) Problem now solved. I had to move the “Data” folder (this is important as it contains all the information about the sites you have built) out of the XSitePro folder, completely uninstall XSitePro and reinstalled it. The problem with pinEdit was gone after that. Note that the latest version is 1.54b.

1I have the same error problem and tried what you did and it still does not work. When I open up the program I get a runtime error and when I go to the design button I get another error and cannot edit the title or even see it in the design tab. Anyone know how to fix this? I tried completely removing the program and reinstalling and also several registry fixing programs.
