Many bloggers use Feedburner to generate and promote their blog feeds. Now Feedburner has introduced their own ad network where you can display your ads on RSS feeds based on a CPM basis. The part I liked best is the “self-serve ad creation and performance monitoring” which beats the hassle of having to go through some ad rep at the company.

Advertisers can specify channels where their ad will appear. Currently the list of channels are:

* Arts & Entertainment
* Automotive
* Business
* Computing & Technology
* Consumer Electronics
* Current Affairs & Politics
* Digital Culture
* Health & Wellness
* News & Information
* PC & Console Games
* Sports & Recreations
* Travel
* International (currently Spanish and Dutch Languages)

You can view how the ads will look here. Ad sizes are 480 x 60 and comes in either “floating right indent” or “full landscape” formats. You’re allowed 32 characters for the title, 190 characters for the ad copy and 50 characters for the display URL.

Too bad they only have a CPM model right now which means that you pay based on the number of impressions. A pay-per-click model would be more attractive in my opinion.
