It’s happened again… Google has disabled Jeremy Palmer’s blog which was hosted on Blogger. That’s the risk you take if you’re hosting your blog on Blogger. But in the case of Jeremy, he hosted his own domain but was still using the Blogger interface. Apparently, Google’s spam detecting bots decided that Jeremy’s blog was a spam blog.

When I initially started this blog, it was hosted on Blogger but I decided to move it over to WordPress because of the limitations of Blogger. It wasn’t that I got my blog shut down. I just preferred the features that came with WordPress. Plugins, for one, was a feature that I really liked with WordPress. There are literally tons of plugins out there for anything that you want to implement on your blog.

Another blog that was recently shut down by Google is The Secret Diary of Steve Jobs. This blog wasn’t written by Mr. Jobs himself, of course, but whoever it was who wrote it certainly had a way with words and it was a really funny blog. Unfortunately, Google decided to play police and shut it down.

My advice to you if you’re looking to start your own blog? Go with WordPress.
