I was surprised when the FedEx truck showed up on Saturday as I haven’t ordered anything by mail. The guy dropped off a box that was about a size of a small TV (no, not the fancy flat screen kind). The first thing I did was to look at the shipping label to see who it was from but it only showed an address in California without the shipper’s name.

I was like a kid on Christmas morning opening my presents! Anyway, I opened up the box and to my pleasant surprise inside there was another white box with the Google logo on it. It was a gift from Google for reaching the milestone of generating 1,000,000 (yes, that’s one million) leads with the AdWords program. Inside the box was a portable mini-fridge that has the Google AdWords logo on the front with the words “Cooler Thinking” below that.

I’ve heard on several forums about people receiving these mini-fridges (apparently there are two versions, a rectangular one like the one I got and an egg-shaped one) but it totally slipped my mind and I wasn’t expecting to get one at all. It’s a nice gesture of appreciation from Google. They know how to keep their customers happy. I’ve also gotten Christmas presents from them in the past. I’m looking forward to seeing what Santa brings this year.
