Secret To Get On The First Page Of Google
When you get into the game of building a web empire, you’re bound to have to come up with good domain names. All the one word dot coms have all been taken, so you’ll have to come up with some more creative ideas. The debate rages on whether you should use a hyphenated domain name like buy-this-widget.com especially for folks who are concerned about the SEO aspects. Personally, I don’t really have a preference. Certain phrases just look better hyphenated. One word of advice I have is to stay away from trademarked names or you’ll get into trouble with those who have the means to sue you.
If you’re using AdWords, I’ve seen that keyword specific domains tend to do better with the Google Slap. For Adsense, keyword specific domains also help targetting the ads. These are just based on my own experience. Don’t take it as gospel. Go test it for yourself.
Here’s a tool that helps you to come up with some domain name ideas. If you need to register a domain, I would go with either GoDaddy or NameCheap. Want an even better deal? Do a search for “GoDaddy coupon” or “NameCheap coupon” and you’ll probably find ones that’ll give you an extra 10% off.
