One of the ways to get traffic and links to your blog is by simply making a list. Any type of list that people find interesting will do. For example, today I found the big list of search marketing blogs at Online Marketing Blog. This list is quite a bit larger than most. Plus it’s sorted alphabetically too. If you have some free time, it’s worth checking out some of the blogs and adding the feeds to your reader (I recently started using Google Reader). Lists like this often invite people to link to your blog especially if they find the list useful.  

Here’s another example. Make up a list of your favorite WP plugins. I’m sure you can come up with other ideas. Think about what you use or need for your business and how others might benefit from them - list of scripts or software that you use, list of internet marketing books, list of top affiliate programs, etc. You get the idea.
