I joined this membership site run by Matt and Brad Callen called Niche Revolution back when it was started in September 2006. Since I was among the first ones to join, I would be a charter member. At that time the membership price was $97 per month. Yesterday, I looked at the salesletter and order link and found out that the price has dropped to $47 per month. Normally, charter members get a better deal than others who join later. But in this case, you actually get ripped off as a charter member.
I posted a question in the members’ forum regarding this issue wondering if I’m the only one who’s paying $97 per month. A couple of people replied to my post and they were in the same situation. So I asked Matt if we could be switched to the lower membership fee. I got a private message back that they were “testing” different prices and I’m stuck with the price I joined with. How’s that for treating your customers like crap?
Conveniently, my entire message thread in the forum was also deleted. So guess who’s going to cancel his membership? What do they gain by not offering me the lower price? I would have stayed on as a member indefinitely if they honored the $47 per month price. So instead of making $47 x 12 = $564 per year from me, they’re going to make $0. Go figure.
Buyer beware! I induct NicheRevolution into the Marketing Tools Review Hall of Shame. Shame on you!

1Hi Hock,
I am a charter member of NicheRevolution as well at $97/mo LOL. I was really shocked at their decision. They must know they will lose most if not all $97 members. How could one stay after being treated like this ???
Let me know if you see a similar site, I would probably join.
Here’s To a a Great 2007 !

2Hi Donnie,
Matt offered to give me the $47 per month membership after I had cancelled my account. I didn’t take his offer because I disagree with the whole thing about the way I was treated as a charter member.
There are some other sites you can check out like PLRPro. See my previous post on private rights articles. NichePal is another one with great value. Those two offer PLR articles as well as completely built sites. If you want resaleable products, check out PushButtonHealth which has niche products in the health market. Or NicheHealthProducts (again, in my previous post).

4Looks like I am not alone.
I have the same experience, cancel it straight away after I realize their treatment to their loyalty members. This leave a bad impression, a very bad one. Personally I have own many of their products, but …. now …
Losing faith to the so call good guy.
I have a similar post at my blog as well, welcome your thought.

5Hi Johnny,
I’m sure there are many more people with the same experience. All I can say is move on and learn from this episode how not to treat your customers. Goodwill goes a long way and once you lose it, it’s hard to regain it.

7Hey Hock, thanks for commenting on my blog!
Yeah they deleted some forum threads I was participating in too! Probably trying to hide the truth that the program sucks. The worst was the $167 retention fee, that totally shocked me. They only tell you that AFTER you join.
Such a drag looking back and seeing the time and money I wasted on it >
