In my view, Yahoo is finally taking the right steps to improve their search marketing (PPC) product (formerly Overture). Now approvals for ad campaigns and keywords are almost instantaneous much like Google AdWords. I hated having to wait 3-5 business days to get my ads and keywords approved. This is good news for folks who are already familiar with AdWords. The architecture of the way your campaigns are set up also mimic AdWords now so you have campaigns and ad groups within the campaigns.
So will advertisers get a leg up using Yahoo in addition to AdWords? Answer: No smart pricing (at least that I know of) in YSM. So you won’t see your keywords disabled and minimum bids go up to $10.
If you’re not using Yahoo for your PPC, you’re losing a whole lot of potential traffic.
