Here is another blog that I found worth reading - Derek Beauchemin’s blog. One thing I always do when I get to a new blog is to see if there is an “About Me” link. That’s the first thing I check out because I’m interested in knowing more about the person behind the blog. Derek has done a good job of describing himself and his interests. Now if you really want to read a comprehensive bio, check out Aaron Wall’s.

According to Derek:

“… I can write about whatever catches my interest and help others to make money online, all while making friends with other internet entrepreneurs. The primary focus of this blog will be on the topic of making money from various online avenues, but it will not be restricted to only that. I also enjoy topics such as personal finance, technology, real estate, cooking, design, and programming (to name a few) and so will likely be writing about them as well.”

Making friends online is definitely important. I’m also interested in a lot of the same topics - finance, cooking, technology, etc. When I feel like there is something in common with the person writing the blog, I’m more inclined to read the blog on a regular basis. Speaking of cooking, I also discovered a great site today for food lovers called Chow.

Back to Derek’s blog, besides containing great information for internet entrepreneurs, the design is clean and simple. Also, I noticed that there are NO ads on the site which is pretty refreshing. Great job, Derek!
