BrowseGoodsBrowseGoods has got it. This is the paradigm shifting sort of stuff. I haven’t seen another shopping site like it. Think of Google Maps + Amazon. Actually, this site does use the Amazon affiliate program. They call it visual shopping.

It’s the ability to browse through many products in the same category at the same time. You can zoom in, drag the cursor along to different sections and hover over the product to view the details. It’s like browsing the product aisle at the store except that you can see a whole lot more all at once.

This type of browsing is especially useful if you have an idea of what a product looks like but you don’t know the exact name of the product. Take for instance, shoes. If a lady spots a pair of shoes on someone else on the street and likes them but has no idea what they are, she can just use this type of visual search to look for them.

You can also apply this to sorting out the photos on your computer. Ever wish you could browse through hundreds of photos all at once? Imagine being able to drag photos around and zoom in and out on the fly. That would be pretty cool. Does the Mac have something like that? Or the new Vista operating system? I’m still using XP on the PC (but planning on getting an iMac soon!), so I don’t know.

I wish I had thought of this. :)
