Secret To Get On The First Page Of Google
Entrecard is an ad exchange network that I discovered today. They call themselves the “Internet Business Card” but it’s really just an ad exchange system for bloggers. You get credits based on “dropping” your business card on other blogs that display the Entrecard widget.
You can advertise on other blogs based on the number of credits you have available. You don’t have to pay for anything. So in that sense, it’s free.
Here’s a description from the site:
“Entrecard is the first and only free exchange network for 125×125 ads. Through this revolutionary platform, you can advertise your own 125×125 Entrecard on any blog in the network, for free, for a number of days.“
Entrecard founders jump on the bandwagon of 125×125 banner ads which are popping up on many blogs, especially in the “make money online” space. While most of these blogs charge you money to put your banner on their blog, using Entrecard is a way that you can get your ad on their blog for free. There is only one ad shown on the widget, so that’ll get your ad more attention.
I’m going to test out this system and closely monitor my site stats to see whether this system works better than BlogRush. You can monitor your stats, for example, with Google Analytics. Just look for referrers from “entrecard”.
If you’re thinking that you can get some PR juice from these ads, think again. Because they’re implemented as javascript, you won’t actually get your actual URL linked from the blog where your ad is showing.
I’ll wait a week or two to see how this works out.

1I’ve been using ‘Entrecard’ for about two weeks now, and I’ve definitely seen an increase in traffic. Last time I checked my analytics stats, refferals from entrecard were in the top 6 refferal sites. But still nothing beats getting traffic from blogger forums, those are still the top 3 refferal sites that send traffic my way.
Peace!

2Hi Majik,
Thanks for stopping by. I’m guessing that most of the referrals you’re seeing are from other Entrecard users who want to rack up their credits and surf other blogs. The thing to look for would be the bounce rate, time spent on site and the number of pages viewed. Those parameters will shed some light on whether the visitors are mostly surfers or people who are actually reading your posts.
I’ll monitor my stats and post the results in a week or two.
BTW, I’m curious - which blogger forums are you referring to?
