Here are a list of resources for anybody who wants to learn more about customizing their BANS site.
1. BANS members’ forum.
2. http://www.thenichestorebuilder.com/ - a blog that’s focused on BANS sites. Lots of great info there especially if you’re just starting out.
3. Color My BANS - lets you easily choose colors for your store template.
If I find others, I will add it here.
By the way, here are some quick tips that I thought of with regard to BANS.
1. Make your site unique - add relevant articles, videos, RSS feeds, etc.
2. Design - modify the CSS files to create a unique look. At the very least, make a good header. If you’re graphically challenged, let me know and I can help you.
3. Remove the affiliate link on the footer - you know the one I mean, the “Powered by BANS” link. It’s just a footprint that allows search engines to find all BANS sites and worse still your competitors can do a search to check out profitable niches.
4. Depending on your niche, collect email addresses. I use Aweber. If you want to give an incentive to subscribe, offer a free report, tutorial, etc.
5. Add a blog to the site. Search engine spiders love blogs and it could help your new site get indexed faster.
By the way, since moving to EPN, I made my first commission a couple of days ago. :)
