When you are trying to reach out to your potential customers through email, it is extremely important to be different from the crowd. This is especially true of the internet marketing niche. The classic example is when there is a huge product launch and many affiliates will use the same email copy provided by the product seller. Others will promote the same product but offer different bonuses.

If you have been on the receiving end of these offers ask yourself what would make you buy through their affiliate link?

The most important thing in email marketing is building trust and building your brand. This of course doesn’t happen overnight. Trust is something you have to earn. Branding happens when there is consistent contact with your prospects.

Another thing you can do to help you become a better email marketer is to set up a swipe file of emails that are particularly effective. Are there some emails that capture your complete attention and make you read the entire email from start to end? These are the ones that you want to take note of and save in your swipe file.

One easy way of doing this is to set up folders in your email program with the names of the marketers sending you the emails. Every time something interesting comes through, you can file it in the appropriate folder. This is a good way to keep organized. If you prefer to read things on paper, you can print out the emails and file them in a binder.
