Secret To Get On The First Page Of Google
Traffic exchange programs have been around for a long time. While many have tried and failed using these programs, it is not because of the nature of the traffic exchange but rather the way that it is used. Here are a few important pointers that you cannot afford to forget if you are going to invest your time and money into traffic exchanges.
Early on when I first got started in internet marketing, I tried out a lot of traffic exchange programs but being the newbie that I was I was sending traffic to the wrong kind of pages. On top of that, I didn’t know how to track where my traffic was coming from and whether it was converting. Now that I have more experience, I’m going to test traffic exchanges again to drive traffic to an opt-in list.
Auto Surf is a No-No!
First of all, there are manual and automatic surfing traffic exchanges. Do not waste your time with auto surfing programs. Think about it. The only reason you are joining a traffic exchange is that you want more traffic to your website. Hopefully some of that traffic will be interested enough in your message that they will opt-in to your list. By using auto surfing, no human being is actually looking at your site.
Use Splash Pages
Secondly, a short concise message works the best. You have to get into the mindset of the person who is using the traffic exchange. Like you, they are probably in a home-based business or a budding online entrepreneur who wants to have more traffic. So tailor the message to meet those needs and you will find that your conversion rates will increase. Rather than having a long sales page, try just having a catchy title, a few bullet points highlighting the benefits and an opt-in form to capture the lead. Some call this a landing page or a splash page.
Supplement by Buying Credits
Finally, a way to save time is to spend money and buy credits so that you do not have to manually surf to earn the credits. This will save you time as you can speed up your testing of the particular traffic exchange. Make sure that you have some way of tracking where your leads are coming from. There are a variety of ways to do this but that is beyond the scope of this post. If you do not track where your traffic is coming from and the conversion rate, then you may be wasting the time you can otherwise spend focusing on the traffic exchange program that works.
Persistence Will Pay Off
Many people give up on traffic exchanges too soon and decide that it simple does not work for them. The key is to have a system of benchmarking to filter out the programs that work best. Staring from the construction of your splash page to the offer and finally to tracking and tweaking your offer, you have to be persistent in order to see positive results.
I will update my results in a future post. To be sure not to miss them, please sign up for my newsletter using the form on the sidebar.
