For those of you who want to see what a site built with XSitePro 2 looks like, I have an example for you. This is my graphics design site, eProductCover.com, that I had sitting around for some time that I decided to revamp using XSP2.

I used one of the included templates that came with XSP and modified it according to my needs. There is still some tweaking to be done, for example I need to add a logo at the top. Since I already had an old site sitting around, I just had to copy all the content over to the new design. With XSP, a lot of things can be done really fast. The entire redesign took me maybe 2 to 3 hours.

In the process of redesigning the site, I used a number of the new XSP2 features - email cloaking and image gallery.

First of all, email cloaking is really useful if you want to prevent your email address from being harvested by automated programs. You’ll see you email address displayed on the screen but if you view the html source, you’ll see that it is cloaked for non-human visitors. If you don’t want spam in your inbox, this is something to consider.

There are some deficiencies in the image gallery widget though. These are the changes I would like to see:

1. The ability to center the image. For example, the images I have in the gallery are aligned to the left but I would like them centered on the page.

2. The ability to sort the images (up and down) while I am editing the widget properties. There is no way to do this at the moment. You can add images to the gallery one at a time but there is no way to change the order of the images.

3. The ability to have more than one gallery per page. I tried adding more than one gallery and it didn’t work properly. For example, I would like to have separate galleries for software boxes, ebooks, etc.
