Secret To Get On The First Page Of Google
Anyone involved in purchasing traffic using the big 3 PPC engines such as Google AdWords, YSM or MSN AdCenter can tell you that the advertising costs are rising due to increasing competition. In order to survive, you really have to have great conversions. However, don’t limit yourself to just PPC as there are many other ways to generate cheap traffic to test your offers.
One of the lesser known ways of getting cheap clicks is from PPV advertising. This avenue of advertising is relatively unknown. There isn’t even a Wikipedia entry for it like there is for PPC. If you do a Google search for PPV, you’ll find entries for Pay Per View cable tv which is not exactly what we have in mind.
What is PPV?
Just like PPC stands for “pay per click” advertising, PPV stands for “pay per view” advertising. The concept is simple. Instead of paying for each click, you are paying for each view of your ad. The ads can be a full page site as a pop under, pop up or bridge page, depending on the specific platform you use. Since you are paying for views, the price per view is generally much lower than the price per click. The advantage is that your ad will be more easily noticed compared to the standard text ad.
There are also nice features where you can select the frequency of the ad to be shown. This is important because you don’t want to show the ad multiple times to a user within the same day - that’s just wasting your money. You select your ad to be shown based on either keywords or URLs. You can also specify country targeting, category targeting or run of network.
Now the best way to really get a handle of PPV is to give it a try. There are a few networks out there but the ones that I have used are:
1. Zango
2. Media Traffic
3. AdOnNetwork
They all have self-serve available so it’s easy to create your ads and test out your campaigns.
How cheap is the traffic? You can get views for as low as $0.015 - that’s $15 CPM and category targeting for just $7 CPM.
