Secret To Get On The First Page Of Google
This blog began it’s life back in April 2004 as “Google Adwords (and more…)” in what was my experiment in learning about internet marketing. It serves as a soapbox for my observations (and rants!) about internet marketers and the general internet marketing industry. The first thing I like to do when I visit a new blog is to read the “About” page to learn more about the author. Well-written biography pages on blogs often draw me back as a frequent reader. So I’ll try to do my best to do the same here and hopefully you’ll learn more about me and what this blog is all about.
I’m an electrical engineer by training. So besides blogging, I also have my regular job. However, internet/affiliate marketing and SEO has become my hobby and passion over the last few years. Someday, I plan to do this full-time.
My introduction to internet marketing began with reading the late Corey Rudl’s “Insider Secrets” course. Later on I read Google Cash and began tinkering with Google AdWords. Perry Marshall’s book “The Definitive Guide to Google AdWords” is also excellent and got my past the initial AdWords learning curve. Ever since I began using AdWords, I have been testing and tweaking my campaigns and have been successful in generating positive returns from my search engine marketing efforts. I have over a millions clicks generated from my AdWords ads and I have a Google fridge to prove it.
I am also an AdWords Qualified Individual which means I’m qualified to take on AdWords clients on a consulting basis. If you would like a consultation, please use the contact form to reach me.
In my spare time, I gather intelligence on how others market on the internet. I am also interested in SEO (search engine optimization) mainly for my own network of sites.
I’m a jack of all trades who has experimented with various ways of generating income from the internet. Some ways are passive (the best) while others require that you actively do something (like providing a service) in order to sustain the revenue stream. I have created products, own a graphic design service targeted towards internet marketers, own a network of niche websites, and am an accomplished affiliate marketer. I publish the Marketing Tools Review newsletter where tips and strategies for passive income generation are discussed. If you’d like to sign up for the newsletter, please use the form on the right hand side of the page.
I am also the affiliate manager for www.AudioBookFest.com which is a great audio book website. If you’re interested in joining an audio book affiliate program, be sure to check it out.
There are too many websites and blogs about making money on the internet. I don’t want this to be another one. My goal is for this blog to be a resource for others who are just getting started. I have bought lots of ebooks and software (and still do) tools related to internet marketing and I will review them here when I find the time. I only review stuff that I have bought and used myself.
Many newbies start a blog (I too was guilty of this when I first started out) to try to teach others how to make money on the internet. But here’s a word of advice - people need to develop some level of trust with you before they will buy something that you recommend. That means you should try to establish yourself and specialize in a smaller niche within internet marketing if you want to stand out.
